About the Co-Lab: About the Position: What Interns Do:
Co-Lab interns work on real-world projects by performing a variety of tasks and building their jobs skills related to:
- Social media marketing.
- Website and E-Commerce Design.
- Mobile App Development.
- Online Course development.
- Online application and data analysis.
Our Impact:
We help our clients build and sell new, amazing things. As a result, we create jobs, help our clients get funding, and grow the economy in Oregon. At the same time, we train our students with the real-world skills that they need to enter the workforce. |
Educational Aspect |
- You'll get the opportunity to build software and develop your coding skills.
- You'll also get paid to learn important career skills and build your resume. |

Who should apply for this internship?
Under the supervision of the Executive Director and Co-Lab mentors, you will get an opportunity to grow your job skills while working on real-world projects.
The following is required for this position:
- Bias toward Action – You must a checklist to tackle a project, and complete the checklist without constant management. You must be able to work with deadlines and meet them.
- Willingness to learn – This internship requires constant learning. You will have to learn how to use new technology, research areas that you are unfamiliar with, and try things that you’ve not done before.
- Integrity – You will log your time, and you must log your time on projects truthfully.
- Ability to Maintain GPA – You must be able to maintain a GPA above 2.75 after employment begins at the Co-Lab.
- Communication Skills and Responsiveness – You must have excellent communication skills. You must have the ability to use email and write professionally. Further, you must have a willingness to learn how to use Slack and respond promptly.
- Education – Must be enrolled in an educational institution within Oregon.
- Must have a basic understanding of the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and/or Google Docs.
You'll Be Responsible For:
- Checking email regularly.
- Checking Slack regularly.
- Using EmpCenter and Harvest to log time.
- Attending Cadence Meetings with the Executive Director.
- Completing projects with the help and supervision of the Executive Director.
- Storing documents in Google Drive.
- Communicating with the Executive Director and clients of the Co-Lab and responding promptly.
