Description

Ridgeview High School students will provide a variety of technical support to older adults at the Redmond Senior Center. Students will be paired up with older adults, supporting them with different tech challenges. Students will teach older adults how to navigate the internet, create and utilize social media, work smartphones, and use various technology. 

Educational Aspect

The intern will learn empathy, compassion, and active listening skills while interacting with older adults. Candidates will be tasked with various problem-solving scenarios, and learn how to overcome challenges. Additionally, the intern will learn how to fill out tax forms and communicate with their employer regarding scheduling and organizational efforts.
