Description |
The Sound/Recording Engineering Intern enables a student to work with the lead engineer and will learn skills related to live-music events and audio engineering efforts within a recording studio. |
Educational Aspect |
This position will reward a person with a desire to learn all things audio. From live production to studio capture and mixing. Learn stage monitoring protocols with both wedge and wired and wireless IEM deployment. Learn studio capture protocols for sound isolation, microphone placement, frequency and dynamics adjustments. Learn artist language and personality communication skills. Learn Front of House (FOH) mixing techniques including EQ, Dynamics, and Effects. Learn about sound pressure levels (SPL) and decibel (DB) readings. |

Must be able to lift 40 lbs individually and 50 lbs if working with a partner (total 100 lbs). |
