| Description |
FM 100 AM 1110 KBND News Radio is seeking an intern to serve under the station's program and news directors. Successful candidates will be currently or planning to major in journalism, broadcasting, or similar communications discipline(s). This is a part-time opportunity but may develop into a full-time newsroom position for the right applicant. |
| Educational Aspect |
The selected candidate will be learning the following and much more:
- Local/Regional/National news writing and broadcasting.
- Social media and website management.
- Traffic/weather/breaking-news reporting.
- Interview procedures and techniques.
- Regional/National broadcast syndication processes and procedures.
- General overview of multimedia advertising sales and promotions.
- Studio boards and electronic interfaces.
- Recording and editing audio for broadcast.
- More in-depth curriculum as time and candidate progress allows.

| Further Requirements |
- Current or upcoming enrollment in an institution of higher learning, with a focus on communications.
- Journalism or broadcasting major preferred, but not required.
- Prospects with experience in printed or online school newspapers are encouraged to apply. |
