Description
The Golf Course Maintenance Intern will be required to:
- Operate turf management equipment including tractors, walk-behind greens mowers, tri-plexes, gang mowers, aerifiers, topdressers, sweepers, and all forms of power equipment.
- Ability to work independently, cooperatively, and willing to work flexible hours in adverse weather conditions.
- Responsible for the precision mowing of greens, tees, approaches, fairways, and roughs.  
- Assisting in all aspects of turf management including, but not limited to, maintaining sand traps, spot watering, aerating, verticutting, and topdressing. 
- Reports to the Assistant Superintendent and Superintendent.
 
Educational Aspect
The Golf Course Maintenance Intern will learn the basics of golf course maintenance.  By the end of the season, the Golf Course Maintenance Intern should have the skills and knowledge to pursue a career in the golf course maintenance field.
 
Further Requirements
The Golf Course Maintenance Intern should have the following:
- Driver's license.
- Ability to work with others.
- Positive attitude.
- Early morning start times.
 
Lift Requirements

The Golf Course Maintenance Intern should be able to occasionally lift 50 lbs.
