Description |
The Technology Support Intern performs a wide variety of diagnostic inspections and repairs on computer hardware and software as assorted classroom technology. In addition, this internship will assist with inventory, new device enrollment, and general technology maintenance.

Educational Aspect |
Working with, and guided by IT staff members, the Technology Support Intern will learn to perform district-wide maintenance and inventory projects to prepare devices for use by all students in the district. As part of the IT group, they will learn to approach large-scale projects with deadlines. Upon completing this internship, the individual will have hands-on experience working in an IT Department in a complex and varied environment. |
Further Requirements |
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- While performing the duties of this internship, the Technology Support Intern is regularly required to talk or hear. The intern is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands for fine manipulation, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms using a keyboard and video display terminal. The Technology Support Intern is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, or crawl. Specific vision abilities required by this internship include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision as well as depth perception.

Lift Requirements |
The Technology Support Intern must regularly lift and/or move up to 35 pounds and occasionally up to 75 pounds.
