Description
The Technology Support Intern performs a wide variety of diagnostic inspections and repairs on computer hardware and software as well as peripheral classroom technology. In addition, this team member assists with inventory, device enrollment, and general technology maintenance. 
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential duties of this position include the following. Employees in this position perform some or all of the following tasks.

Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Install software, image computers, and enroll student devices.
  2. Complete routine maintenance on technology equipment.
  3. Maintain databases including inventory, login records, and work orders.
  4. Train staff on basic troubleshooting, utilizing technology equipment, and teach them how to use the software.
  5. Respond to a high volume of technology work order (tickets) requests while providing excellent customer service.
  6. Provide hardware and network support to students and staff.
  7. Professionally represent the school and the District in interactions with parents, community, staff, and students and resolve conflict in a professional manner.  
  8. Comply with applicable District, state, local, and federal laws, rules, and regulations.
  9. Attend work regularly and be dressed appropriately.
  10. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

  • - Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent to draw and interpret bar graphs.

  • - Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

  • - Ability to support and maintain standard office applications such as MS Office and Google Apps.

  • - Ability to support and maintain hardware such as Chromebooks, desktops, laptops, iPads, and other classroom technology. 

  • - Demonstrate ability to learn and apply computer technology skills rapidly.  

  • - Ability to appropriately communicate with students, teachers, administrators, and others including vendors. Ability to exercise good judgment and work in an environment with frequent interruptions. 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • - High School GPA of 2.0 or higher.
  • - Enrolled in a Redmond School District High School.
  • - A positive letter of recommendation from a high school staff member.
