Description |
The Central Oregon KOA is a vacation spot for many travelers who camp with us in their RV or in our cabins and tipis. Conveniently located on Jericho Lane off of Highway 97, vacationers are continually stopping by.
As the Social Events Specialist / Front Desk Intern, you will be responsible to facilitate and participate in the Ice Cream Social, Glow Light Parade, scavenger hunts, and various activities during busy times on a weekly basis/schedule. As the Front Desk Specialist, you will be a point of contact for guests when they arrive and throughout their stay with us. This will be a great opportunity for you to provide the best customer service to our guests.
Daily duties (not limited to):
· Greeting customers.
· Answering phones.
· Making/canceling reservations.
· Price store items.
· Stock shelves/inventory.
· Process online and late reservations.
· Check-in/check-out guests.
· Clean store.
· Will be cross-trained for other positions and fill in for all park positions as needed (housekeeping, grounds).
Schedule:
Tuesday 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Wednesday 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Thursday 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Friday 9:00 a.m. -12:00 p.m. / 6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.
Saturday 6:30 p.m. - 10:30 p.m. + various daytime hours depending on planned activity

Educational Aspect |
Interns will work directly with the public. Having the confidence to interact with guests is important. Students will learn how to multi-task with guests in person and over the phone to prioritize their daily tasks. As the Social Events Specialist / Front Desk Intern, you will learn to utilize our reservation software and navigate the computer programs necessary to perform your job. Answering and using a multi-line telephone system will also be taught. In the store, interns will be responsible for restocking products. Interns will also use the cash register when products are sold, so making change with cash will be a useful skill that is taught. |
Further Requirements |
Customer service must be able to multi-task, make change with cash transactions, open and close a cash register till, know how to use basic office equipment, and software (computers, printer, laminator, MS office). Desire to work with people (predominantly kids), ability to scoop ice cream, able to walk through the park.
