Description

Each summer, Sunriver Music Festival hires a part-time intern to work in the Festival Office. Responsibilities include assisting with production elements of the Summer Festival concerts, fundraisers, and events. It is immensely varied and directly related to the event production side of music and events.  Events include a golf tournament in early June (that'd be the first project), an auction gala in July, and 7 Summer Festival concerts in August.  There will be setting up for and greeting patrons and musicians at concerts, data entry, miscellaneous office work related to contracting and housing orchestra musicians, publishing the Summer Festival program book and other documents, organizing auction items and event-related supplies.

The intern works closely with our office staff of 3.  We each have unique responsibilities and we also each work well together and have friendly relationships.

Educational Aspect

The intern learns valuable office skills transferrable to all future careers as well as getting extra special exposure to the music by being closely involved with all behind-the-scenes aspects of concert production.

Further Requirements
- Approximately 10-15 hours per week June through August and the exact days/hours per week can be flexible.
- Attendance at most events, though not all, is expected and is a uniquely fun element of this internship.
- Familiarity with computer applications such as Word, Excel, Gmail, basic navigation is strongly preferred.
- While music experience is not required, consideration will be given toward music students, in keeping with the mission of the organization.
