Description
The selected intern will participate in project management, time management, and social media maintenance. Intern will work closely with the AmeriCorps VISTA at the Jefferson County Public Health Department. VISTA will train and supervise the intern throughout employment. The intern will be required to keep track of all of Jefferson County Public Health’s social media analytics (this does not include JeffCoConnects). The intern should be skilled in using several social media platforms. 
Internship Responsibilities
- Work at least 10 hours a week
- Intern will increase the social media: audience, outreach, interactions/impressions, following, and content inclusion through actively keeping up to date with current events throughout Jefferson County to promote on social media.
 
Educational Aspect

The social media intern will learn time management as they navigate all platforms of social media under this job description.  The intern will also learn to work independently, as well as under supervision, and be able to communicate in two languages while interacting with members of the community. 

Further Requirements
- Be a high school junior or senior.
- Conversationally fluent in Spanish.
- General computer knowledge.
- General knowledge of social media platforms - Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, Tik Tok.
- Applicants will complete an additional application with the Internship Coordinator.
