Description
This position will be assisting with the cleaning and loading of equipment before and after rentals and maintaining the cleanliness of our equipment yard.   The ideal candidate would have some experience with equipment, but we will train anyone as long as they have the willingness to learn.  
 
Job Responsibilities:
1. Check out, provide familiarization training, and demonstrate the proper use of equipment and tools for customers.
2. Maintain a clean and safe work area, adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
3. Follow standard operating procedures and company policies.
4. Provide cleaning of equipment, tools, and vehicles.
5. Load and unload equipment on trailers in a safe manner while complying with DOT regulations for height, width, and weight.
6. Perform maintenance checks on rental equipment and tools before and after use for damage, safety, hours used, tires and tracks, fuel levels, and all other fluid levels.
7. Performance of minor repairs of rental equipment and tools to include checking oil, grease, fluids, belts/chains, and tagging of equipment for “ready-to-rent” status.
8. Provide positive customer relations through professional interactions with all customers.
9. Assist with, or provide deliveries of equipment.
10. Track and account for all accessories such as chains, binders, hitches, couplers, and other towing/trailering equipment.
11. Communicate with a lead person, counter personnel, and/or service manager for equipment maintenance requirements, replacement parts, out of service (red) tags, and repairs.
12. Prepare and/or assemble new equipment for rent or sale.
13. Provide assistance to all other technicians as needed in regard to troubleshooting and performing repairs.
14. Complete all paperwork (forms, slips, documents) as it pertains to the rental of, or returning of equipment and tools, and the maintenance and/or repair of equipment and tools.
15. Perform minor property maintenance to include weed removal, pavement sweeping, trash clean-up, painting, pressure washing, and site grading.
16. Attend formal training as required or assigned.
17. Other duties as assigned or required.
18. Confirm Equipment/Tools going out on contract match the equipment number on the contract.
19. Must be attired in Bullet Logo shirt/sweatshirt/vest and hat.  (Or other assigned logo apparel)  If wearing a hat it must represent Bullet Rental & Sales, inc.
20. Shall not modify, alter, or change components on any equipment, trailer, or tool without the manufacturer’s approval.
21. Personal cell phone use shall be limited to authorized rest periods and lunch breaks unless they are being utilized for company business.

 

Educational Aspect

Students will learn how to follow directions, work with and without supervision, and complete duties as assigned or required of the position.  Education on various types of construction equipment and operation will be covered as well. The position would be great for someone with an interest in the construction industry as we rent out many of the tools and equipment they would use on a daily basis on a standard construction job site.
