Description

Assist City Council and departmental staff with the city's digital civic engagement platform's hardware and software.  Specifically prepare/test system's connection, cameras, and monitor in real-time the city's meeting collaboration technology and website platform for successful LIVE streaming/recording of public meetings.  Troubleshoots system connectivity, sound, camera feeds, and video quality as needed.  On-site presence is required for meetings.

City Council / Planning Meetings:  Approximately 5 hours a week 5:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. (meeting end times can fluctuate)

 

Educational Aspect

This is a wonderful opportunity for a savvy, self-directed candidate seeking to gain on-the-job experience, working with the latest technology and AV equipment for civic engagement.  Learn from one of Central Oregon's top municipal IT teams.  The team collaborating software and hardware systems are in high demand and so are the skills to operate these systems effectively.  The City currently has 10 conference rooms equipped with state-of-the-art AV equipment.  The intention is for staff able to host public meetings, conduct two-way engagement, and stream these meetings on our website.  This requires a technician to assist with set-up, meeting coordination, troubleshooting, and working with system support services as needed.

Must be able to work on-site at City Hall.
