Description |
The Administration Assistant student intern will assist county employees in clerical tasks for multiple department offices. The intern will need to be flexible to work in a given office to accomplish the daily tasks assigned to them. The intern will need knowledge of how to operate office equipment, grasp the concept of organized filing, be adaptable to each department's order of operations, and be willing to learn computer programs as necessary.
Program Specifications:
- Intern employees are held to the same standards of conduct as any Jefferson County Employee.
- Jefferson County reserves the right to terminate the employment relationship at any time with or without cause.
- Summer Help participants who have questions or concerns regarding work and other matters may communicate them to their Supervisor, the Department’s Director, or the Human Resources Department.
- Jefferson County will conduct a background check for applicants age 18+ which must be successfully passed to be considered for the position. Jefferson County is committed to a drug-free environment and applicants may be subject to a pre-employment drug screening.

Students in the Administration Assistant Intern position will learn: - Time management

- Flexibility as duties may change from time-to-time
- General use of office equipment and computer programs
- Learn to take direction as well as work independently
