Summit Storm Volleyball’s Social Media and Team Manager: (Summit HS students only)

Are you passionate about creating content on social media? Want to gain real-world experience in a variety of areas within marketing? Want to help run a team’s day-to-day operations?

Being a Social Media & Team Manager for Storm Volleyball means sharing news and information, creating content, finding new trends on social media, and highlighting what it means to have Storm Pride all while running and helping with the day-to-day running of the program.

To be selected as a Social Media & Team Manager is an honor and an excellent opportunity for personal and professional growth. Students who are selected as Managers should exhibit the following skills:

      • Solid interpersonal skills.
      • Have excellent leadership qualities.
      • A strong sense of school spirit and pride.
      • Consider serving their community important.
      • Have a genuine interest in social media and communication.
      • Have a genuine interest in the sport of volleyball and supporting athletes.
      • General knowledge and interest in learning more about volleyball.

Requirements to Apply:

Candidates must submit the application & participate in an interview.  If selected, Managers are asked to commit to serving for the sports pre-season (summer) and a full sports season (Fall)  Ambassadors must make a commitment to the mission of Summit High School and possess the following personal qualities: the desire to learn enthusiasm, leadership, responsibility, dependability, maturity, initiative, dedication, and punctuality.

Manager Roles & Responsibilities:
Your role as a Manager is to always contribute towards the promotion of the team that you are covering.

   Responsibilities of a Social Media and Team Manager can include:

      • Creating branded graphics highlighting score updates, schedules, and more.
      • Generating personalized "behind the scenes" content of what it's like to be a volleyball athlete at Summit High School.
      • Staying up to date with recent social media content trends.
      • Brainstorming new and unique ways to connect our athletic program with our fans, family members, and community.
      • Organizing equipment for events.
      • Organizing uniforms.
      • Making sure the team and coaches are supported in multiple ways.
Educational Aspect

Benefits:

    • Swag - Managers will receive team swag!
    • Become a part of the team with member-only involvement in practices, sideline access and more.
    • Resume building experience with social media management, graphic design, marketing communications, and more that can be utilized in college applications.
    • A letter of reference that speaks to your accomplishments and contributions that can be used for college applications or internship opportunities.
    • Opportunities to meet and network with school administrators, the athletic director, and other coaches.
    • Team gatherings several times a semester (snacks provided)!
