RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Organize tools and equipment in company vehicles.
    • Drive company vehicles to various job sites and perform demolition of old flooring.
    • Assist with installs by cutting and trimming boards, when necessary.
    • Deliver wood bundles to a job site, rack out, and nail up the flooring.
    • Assist with sanding a project by troweling the floor with filler and buffing.
    • Hand sand edges and clean with a backpack vacuum.
    • Wipe floors with cleaner and coat floor with finish.
    • Maintain a clean and organized job site.
    • Comply with safety requirements.

REQUIREMENTS:

Educational Aspect

The intern will learn how to use different types of tools, take various measurements, learn the diverse wood species, and the ability to communicate with customers effectively. 

Further Requirements

The intern must be able to work in a variety of conditions and take necessary precautions to maintain a safe working environment.

Lift Requirements

It is helpful if the intern can lift and carry heavy materials (up to 100 pounds, on rare occasions).
