Sylvan Learning Center is looking for a Summer STEM Teacher!  Ideal candidate is a high school or college student currently seeking a degree in an education or STEM-related field. 

Tasks include:

• • Interacting with students Kindergarten-High School.
  • Coordinating/overseeing and/or teaching summer STEM Camps to K-8th.
  • Assisting teachers with daily operations of the classroom.
  • Assisting Director with light office duties.
  • Possible Additional tasks for qualified candidate: tutoring and/or test proctoring.

Desired skills:

• • Great customer service.
  • Experience working with kids and assertive with leading a group of students.
  • Enjoys helping students succeed.
  • Comfortable with technology.
  • Organized, professional, energetic and hands-on.
  • Must have reliable transportation.

Expected availability:

• • June through August; approximately 20–30 hours per week 
  • Monday-Thursday ~11:00-4:00 and occasional Fridays/Saturdays 8:30-2:00 (some flexibility for more or less hours for right candidate)
