Do you enjoy working with equipment? Do you take initiative to learn new things and help those around you?

We are hiring a full time Warehouse Laborer for our Bend Equipment and Supply Store. The Laborer prepares equipment loads for delivery and accepts rental equipment back from customers. This includes loading & unloading, pressure washing and inspecting the equipment condition to ensure it is ready to rent. The Laborer also demonstrates how to safely use the equipment. This is a fast-paced environment with frequent customer interaction. Additional duties may be assigned, including tasks such as restocking shelves and performing general cleaning duties.

The ideal candidate will be familiar with small and large equipment operation, but not required. Training is provided. Saturday work is required especially in spring, summer and fall seasons. The successful candidate will maintain a professional customer service-oriented attitude while working in a fast, safe, efficient, and polite manner. 18 years or older required.

Educational Aspect

The intern will be learning about a wide variety of small and large equipment used for all kinds of jobs such landscaping and construction. This includes the maintenance, operation and troubleshooting of that equipment. They will learn basics of safety around tools and equipment and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).  Forklift training and certification is provided. Some entry level tracking and inventory management is also experienced. 

Further Requirements

The desire to learn more about equipment and practice safety awareness at all times is a must. Providing friendly customer service and willingness to help out your team at all times required.  The job is mostly done outside, with some work inside a large warehouse, which can very warm or cold depending on the season. Except for during breaks and meal periods, the job entails standing, walking, climbing, and lifting constantly throughout the shift. 

Lift Requirements

Regular lifting occurs in this job of different type size and weight of tools and equipment. Frequently pushes, pulls, and lifts 10 to 50 lbs, at times will lift objects that approach 70-80 lbs.
