Get Paid.  Get Trained. Get your foot in the door!

Join us for an informational interview to learn more about the PGE Project Zero Green Jobs internship program.  You'll speak with community-based organizations that are hosting this year's interns. 

Organizations include:

    • Discover Your Forest – Bend OR 97701 (work sites will vary).
    • The Environmental Center – Bend, OR 97703.
    • Deschutes River Conservancy - Bend, OR 97701 (work sites will vary).
    • Upper Deschutes Watershed Council – Bend, OR 97703 (work sites will vary).

This is a great opportunity for young adults age 18-24 to:

    • Please confirm that you will be between the ages of 19 and 24 by November 1, 2023. Candidates 18 and older will be considered with strong personal and professional references. 
    • Work flexible hours, 25-40 hours a week from May 30 to November.
    • Develop on-the-job skills in environmental stewardship and the green economy.
    • Do indoor and outdoor work.
    • Jumpstart your career in the green sector and make a positive different on the planet!

Interns will receive:

    • Work gear (boots, jackets, gloves, etc.).
    • Technology and transportation assistance available.
    • Mentorship by PGE professional.
    • Site tours and prioritized access to green sector employers.
Educational Aspect

On-the-job skills in environmental stewardship and the green economy

Specifics vary by internship:

    • Restoration and land management.
    • Event logistics and coordination.
    • Small group leadership.
    • Communications.

Applicants MUST attend a pre-screen session prior to applying.  

All sessions will be held via Zoom. If you haven’t already, you can download the Zoom app from Google Play for Android or the App Store for Apple. To attend, please RSVP to Taaj Armstrong at taaj.armstrong@pgn.com and sign up for one of the following sessions (or make alternate arrangements):

Ÿ  Monday April 17, 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm

Following pre-screen session and application, prospective interns will be invited to an informational interview for all available positions:
