Description

The CycleBar Intern Associate helps deliver the CycleBar experience and helps drive daily sales. They are a high-energy, passion-filled, and sales-motivated individual who is health and fitness minded and has a love for the community, and our brand! 

The Internship / CBX Front Desk Sales Associate will assist with selling memberships and promoting services while also providing customer service. They are tasked with reaching sales indicators for the studio, such as membership sales and renewals, and retail and concession sales. The internship position requires a focus on providing excellent customer service while also reaching sales objectives and goals. 

The Intern Associate will assist the General Manager with:

    • Providing top-of-the-line service to all new and existing riders. Welcome visitors and members to the studio, answer phones and assist the front desk with various tasks.
    • Assist riders in and out of the spinning theater.
    • Execute sales and hospitality process of first-time rider experience, follow up, and grow the studio's membership base through sales, and new member onboarding.
    • Handle members' issues professionally and objectively.
    • Meet member and retail sales goals assigned by General Manager.
    • Generating leads through phone calls, social media mining, and email.
    • Provide sales and marketing support in building a pipeline of leads to meet assigned goals and quotas.
    • Assist with the development and execution of special fundraising events throughout the year.   
    • Securing funding and in-kind support through sponsorships, and media support.
    • Participate in special events (health fairs, and community events) to promote CycleBar.
    • Assist with Social Media.

Educational Aspect

This internship position will provide on-the-job training in all areas of customer service, selling, negotiating, and influencing analysis and decision-making, along with event development, coordination and execution, marketing, fundraising, and community relations. They will have access to education and training on how to become a fitness instructor/coach and journey into the health and fitness world.

They will learn about:

    • The administration and leadership of a comprehensive fitness program.
    • The role of a spinning/fitness coach.
    • The health and fitness business environment, product knowledge, financial awareness, time management and so much more!
Further Requirements
    • Excellent sales, communication, and customer service skills required.
    • Interest in health and fitness.
    • Must have genuine hospitality and passion for people.
    • Possess leadership ability.
    • Fundraising.
    • Grassroots and social media lead generation.
    • Goal-oriented with an ability to achieve sales in memberships and retail.
    • Ability to learn and use the Club Ready software system.
    • Must be fluent in English and have excellent communication skills via in-person, phone, and email.
    • Must be able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
    • Must have proficient computer skills.
    • Must have the flexibility for a non-traditional schedule including some holiday, early morning, and weekend availability.
    • Assumes responsibility for developing selling skills (training offered).
    • Maintain brand standards and initiative.
    • Work collaboratively with studio management and team members.
Lift Requirements
    • Must be able and willing to move bikes and perform minor bike maintenance.
    • Must be willing to clean all areas of the studio including, but not limited to, CycleTheater, bathrooms, and lobby, launder and fold towels, clean and sanitize shoes, etc.
    • Must be able to lift to 30lbs.
