Description

School of Ranch (www.schoolofranch.org) is offering a Social Media Coordinator internship.  The objective of the internship is to build the School of Ranch's followers and members, drive ticket sales to workshops, and build our email list.

About the Role

School of Ranch was built using a Facebook (FB) group and a website.  Ticket sales have been generated through Facebook.  We also have an Instagram account, a Twitter account, and YouTube Channel.

This role is responsible for helping to create and execute a content and distribution strategy to build followers in ways that ultimately drive ticket sales.  This includes gathering videos and photos at events, creating posts, executing a structured publishing plan, and monitoring success.

School of Ranch is currently running an ad campaign on FB for its welding workshops.  If you have the skills to develop ads and use the FB ad management tool, we could bring that work into the scope of the role.

Educational Aspect

Tasks

  • Develop a content and publishing plan for various social media.
  • Create posts and implement a publishing plan.
  • Monitor discussions related to posts and respond as School of Ranch where appropriate.
  • Produce short video clips.
  • Update the School Of Ranch website, FB group, and page with promotions for workshops.

Learning Opportunities

  • This is an opportunity to learn by applying social media skills against real-world objectives inside a scrappy startup.
  • You will learn how to prioritize resources, develop and test programs, build and implement a cross-media customer acquisition strategy, and manage an online community.  You will have visibility into the inner workings of a start-up at its early stages, and learn how decisions get made and programs implemented.

Further Requirements

You will work directly with School of Ranch's founder Mark Gross (https://www.linkedin.com/in/mark-gross-16b737) a successful serial entrepreneur.
