The focus for our interns is to create and implement age appropriate activities for youth in Kindergarten through 6th grade that inspire curiosity about, a sense of belonging in, and awareness of nature.
Educational Aspect
Interns will have the opportunity to learn about curriculum development, program leadership, positive behavior intervention strategies, and behavior management at our SummerKids day camp program. Each intern will be expected to attend and participate in our all staff training before the season starts.
Further Requirements
Applicant will need to complete a one page letter of interest stating what you hope to gain through this internship, why you would be a good fit with this organization, and why you think nature based education is important. Intern will need to attend staff training on Saturday and Sunday June 8th and 9th, and Sunday June 15th. Then the 30-40 hours/week would start after our program starts on June 17th.
