Combined Communications has been a leader in broadcasting for over 30-years, with a mission to build up, connect, inform and celebrate communities and families across our market. We currently own and/or operate five radio stations in beautiful Bend, Oregon. We're proud of our history, and we want talented people to join us as we continue to grow! POSITION PURPOSE: Bend Oregon’s oldest news and information station, FM News 100/1110 KBND, is looking for a News Intern. This part-time, unpaid position provides a high school or college student real-life experience in a fast-paced newsroom.
Educational Aspect
Interns will learn from a staff with over 50 years of combined News experience, with many opportunities to gather information, write and produce stories and potentially appear on-air.
Further Requirements
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:Currently enrolled in a school-based program offering credit for internship experience; Journalism focus encouraged but not required.Great storyteller interested in improving skills and experience.Have strong writing and blogging skills.An understanding of how social media content can drive listenership.An interest in contributing to a top-rated News program, both on-air and online.Open to coaching.Team Player.Dependable.
