PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: In this role, you will learn how to perform the following: Research and verify key decision makers, stakeholders, and information about prospects such as Average Daily Rate (ADR), reservation services, marketing efforts, leisure / corporate / group business percentages, seasonality, etc. to assist sales department prospecting efforts. Research, analyze, and report on potential client information and trends having potential impact on our business. Learn how to build, research, and prepare call plans for Sales Consultants. Identify, research and analyze our existing database of prospects along with identifying new prospects that fit the NAVIS model. Thoroughly and accurately record data in our SalesForce.com (SFDC) CRM tool. Take part in sales and operational planning meetings to resolve any questions regarding the data you have gathered and analyzed, its interpretation within the sales team, and to aid in reaching service objectives for key prospective clients. Identify, gather and analyze data on competitors and competitive products and services. Validate potential prospect lists, add new prospects to our database and verify accuracy of information
Educational Aspect
The purpose of this role is to provide the Sales Intern with visibility, as well as introductory hands-on experience, with how a corporate, business-to-business, technology sales team operates. This Intern role will work alongside various members of our sales team to identify, research, analyze, and present meaningful, accurate data on prospective clients that could benefit from our Hospitality-focused technology products and services. In this role, you will learn about the various aspects of our sales process from beginning to end, but most of the focus will be prospecting and researching potential clients, assisting our Sales Consultants with data-gathering and analysis. You will also learn how to build call plans for our Sales Consultants based upon the research and data you have collected.
Further Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:Have a graduation date no earlier than January 2020 and no later than June 2023. Be currently enrolled full-time in school in pursuit of a 4-year degree. Graduates will not be accepted as Interns – you must be a current college student. Have a passion for sales with the desire to explore sales as a long-term career objective. Be passionate about technology. Have excellent written and interpersonal communications skills. Be able to participate in a 10-12 week internship session in the summer of 2019. Any previous sales experience is desired, but not required
