Description
The Latino Community Association is looking for a summer intern to support our Youth Rising Program.  Our Youth Rising Program is aimed at school-age Latino youth from low-income, immigrant families. Our goal is to provide relatively simple, yet impactful interventions that produce lasting change, propelling our kids to succeed in school and in life. We are developing a series of integrated services with several community partners that focus on bilingual literacy, cultural literacy, social-emotional skill building, fun, adventure, and leadership development.  Our summer youth programs work to connect Latino families with existing programs in the Central Oregon Community and offer scholarships for youth to participate. 
 
Responsibilities: 
- Register students/families for programs in Central Oregon (Deschutes, Crook, and Jefferson counties)
- Accept payment for programs (Record and give payments to Office Manager)
- Log and input data into Apricot (Daily log) - LCA's Database
- Upload and update social media flyers (Canva-use.png for social media)
- Answer calls and offer solutions with a team of coordinators for different programs 
- Deliver food/supplies or necessary items to learning locations
- Support chaperones during outings with youth
Requirements:
- Pass a background check
- Bi-lingual in English and Spanish
- High School Seniors and college students preferred
 
Educational Aspect

Students will learn to work in an office setting and about how summer youth programs are managed.  Students will gain valuable skills in customer service and youth management.
