Description |
The Central Oregon KOA is a vacation spot for many travelers who camp with us in their RV or in our cabins and tipis. Conveniently located on Jericho Lane off of Highway 97, vacationers are continually stopping by. As a Facility Maintenance Intern, you will be responsible for the upkeep and cleanliness of our indoor and outdoor facilities. At times, you may interact with guests as they make requests to you as a KOA employee.
Daily duties (not limited to):
Thoroughly clean according to the daily checklist:
- Maintain cleanliness in the social area, pool area, and store inside and out.
- Water flower baskets.
- Clean the campgrounds.
- Clean fire pits.
- Wash picnic tables.
- Bathrooms (scrub showers, wipe walls, clean toilets, and sinks, mop floors, empty trash).
- Cabins inside and out (clean bathrooms and kitchens when applicable, change bedding, wipe walls and counters, wipe mattresses, sweep and mop floors, empty trash, sweep and hose off the porch).
- Tipis (clean beds, sweep the floor, clean deck).
- Laundry room (wipe washers and dryers inside and out, clean windows and mirror, wipe walls, wash counters, and sink).
Schedule:
8:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. |
Educational Aspect |
As a Facility Maintenance Intern, students learn the standards of customer service for the service industry, learn the cleanliness practices for public facilities, general landscape care, gain the level of responsibility to do a task that is given to you during your shift, and polite interaction with guests. |
Further Requirements |
- Cleaning experience preferred but not necessary.
- References regarding reliability are a must.
- Need reliable transportation.
- Flexibility to clean low surfaces and high surfaces.

Able to lift 25lbs occasionally, 10lbs often. |
