Waddell Electric Motor Service is a service center that repairs electric motors and pumps for various industrial and residential applications. We specialize in A/C motors from sub fractional to 400hp. We are seeking interested applicants/interns that are interested in a rewarding career where you can work with your hands, take advantage of your mechanical aptitude, and utilize your problem-solving skills. This position may lead to career advancement opportunities, Waddell Electric Motor Service is looking for entry-level and journeyman machinist and motor winders. Basic duties include but are not limited to: · Disassemble and clean customer's electric motors and pumps.
· Evaluate the condition of the unit and necessary repairs.
· Coordinate with the service manager to advise customers of repair or replacement options.
· Assist other shop technicians with various tasks as required.
· Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
You must be comfortable learning to operate different machinery in a busy shop environment. This career opportunity will give you hands-on experience with lathes, mills, dynamic balance machines, and coil winders as well as basic shop equipment such as band saws, welders, etc. Due to the nature of the machinery, we work with Waddell Electric is a drug-free workplace. |
Educational Aspect |
The intern will have the opportunity to work hands-on with various types of machine shop equipment, from hand tools to lathes, mills, and balancing equipment. The equipment and training used in our electric motor repair shop will be applicable to most mechanical repair industries. |
