Description

Organize transportation vehicle for final coats, which includes loading and unloading (1 gallon) finishes, (1 gallon) fillers, (97 pound) buffer, (10 pound) vacuum, general supplies, and (10 pound ±) toolbox.  Drive to the job site.  On knees, trowel floor with filler.  Standing/walking to buff off filler.  On knees, hand sand edges.  Standing/walking to vacuum floors with a backpack vacuum.  On knees, wipe floors with cleaner.  On knees, coat floor with the finish.  Load equipment and supplies back into the vehicle.  Drive to shop.

Occasionally, assist with installs, which consists of loading and unloading tools into vehicle such as (30 pound) compressor, (15 pound) table saw, (10 pound) chop saw, (4 pound) nailer, (10 pound) hand tools, and (25 pound) table for saws.  Drive to job site.  Move (75 pound) bundles of wood around job site.  On knees, rack out floor, nail up floor (bent over and swinging hammer).  Drive to shop.

Sometimes, assist with sanding a project.  This includes loading and unloading (32 pound) edger, (200 pound) sander—we require two people lift this equipment together, (97 pound) buffer, (200 pound) 3DS—we require two people lift this equipment together, and (10 pound) vacuum backpack.  Operate edger (bent over).  Drive to the job site and return to the shop.

Educational Aspect

Learn all aspects of flooring construction and installation.

Further Requirements
- A drug-free responsible and reliable individual that enjoys working with their hands and/or enjoys working with wood.
- Knowledge of a measuring tape and an excellent driving record.
- Previous woodworking experience helpful, but not required.
