Description

Performing a variety of functions in an office setting where courtesy, accuracy and communication are vitally important.  The part-time, on call position requires working independently as well as under the direction of a supervisor. Typical duties include answering phones, responding to questions and recording messages; Maintaining accounts receivable; Accepting payments; Transcribing minutes of meetings; and preparing monthly utility billings.

Educational Aspect

This position is with a public entity which provides an opportunity to learn the various aspects of public service as well as compliance with very strict rules and procedures while using independent judgement.

Further Requirements

Minimum qualifications include a high school degree, some computer knowledge operating standard office software, and the ability to properly record and document transactions, meet and deal with the public with courtesy, and tactfully establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees and the general public.  Be able to establish priorities and organize own work as well as deal effectively with frequent interruptions.
