Description

Production Team Members work together to produce safe, gourmet food while following Good Manufacturing Practices. This postion will last from the date hired until the end of July. Job duties include standing at a moving conveyor belt and using measuring scoops and spoons to get ingredients into cups moving down the line; placing lids and seals on finished cups, and placing finished cups into boxes. Other duties will be performed as assigned including cleaning and taping boxes together. Good visual acuity and full movement of shoulders, elbows, wrists and fingers are necessary to perform the functions of the job. 

Educational Aspect

Every member of the production team is vital to the task of producing food, so teamwork and seeing how one person\'s actions affect others will be demonstrated in a meaninful way. Allergen control and the importance it plays in protecting the community will be emphasized, as well as how general hygiene relates to food safety. Supply chain will be touched on as well, but perhaps the most important thing a student can learn here is how a diverse group of people can work together to accomplish a goal, and have as much fun as possible doing it.
