Description
The successful candidate must have a friendly and welcoming attitude with everyone. Internship Requirements: Present a friendly, outgoing and guest service oriented demeanor at all times. Demonstrate proper food handling skills, operate kitchen equipment. Accurately handle deliveries. -Must be detailed oriented -Make coffee and cook food using oven and microwave -Check supplies and check inventory -Clean, sweep and mop work area -Assist with other kitchen operations as needed and directed -Keep work area clean and organized -Set up, restock and maintain food preparation areas -Prepare foods in accordance with working menus and recipe cards
Educational Aspect
Great opportunity to learn more about the culinary industry and gain hands on experience. Learn valuable skills such as setting up and running the breakfast buffet, monitoring the quality and consistency of all food served from the buffet, preparing proper food quantities based on forecasted room counts and other key skills relevant to this industry. Intern will also earn their Food Handlers Card (employer covers cost) as part of the internship.
Further Requirements
Shift options are 5am - 1pm weekdays or 6am - 2pm on weekends. Intern must be willing to work one of these shifts. Previous food handling experience is a preferred but not required.
