Description
This internship position will assist with the preparation, logistical preparations, and class coordination for the various classes of Cooking School at Crooked River Inn. The position will also assist with the operations of the Crooked River Inn for its overnight guests (multi-national clientele), including the reservation system, suite preparation, and some guest greeting, interaction, and provision of tourist information.
Educational Aspect
Intern will be introduced to the full range of responsibilities and coordination/logistics that are part of the complex operations of a dual purpose business: Bed & Breakfast accommodations, reservation system, room decor and amenities, as well as developing good verbal and written communication skills. Will have many varied assignments based on the needs of the Inn/Cooking Classes through the very busy summer season. Will assist in decor and preparations for special events held on the Inn property. Will learn the basics of kitchen hygiene and food preparation for classes (food prep; decor; assist/aid the chef-teachers).
Further Requirements
Intern must dress appropriately for interacting in a kitchen and classroom setting (Cooking School), and capable of cordial interpersonal interactions at all time. Must be dependable and timely in being present for established (arranged) internship work schedules. Must adhere to kitchen/hygiene/dress/classroom protocols and practices.
